Website dilemma

In my very first post I had said I would have my website up and running in April...

Maybe you've guessed, but I've had a little setback and it actually won't be ready this month. In fact, I probably shouldn't give another launch date because I'm just not sure when it will be finished. Oh joy. Sorry for the disappointment (not that anyone reads this blog anyways)!

This is not a late April Fool's joke.

Student Art Show

Remember how I entered my package design into the student art show? Here are some photos (finally). I ended up winning a merit award for this project, and I am thrilled about it!

Oh, and I entered a head drawing, which made it into the show as well!

Package Design

Happy late Leap Year!

I'm currently in a 3D Design class, and our last two projects have been package design. This is something completely new for me, and I've found that I really love it! It's teaching me a lot about hierarchy, cohesiveness, and color. Maybe I've found my niche. I guess time will tell!

The purpose of this project was to create a product line of energy bars and drinks. I went in an interesting direction- energy drinks for seniors! As in, 55-65 year olds. It kind of seemed like uncharted territory, and a good challenge.

I went for old-fashioned sounding flavors, illustrations, and style. I did all the illustrations, and let me tell you- what a long process! I'm absolutely thrilled with the results, though.

I haven't been able to take photos of the finished, 3D product yet (they are currently entered in an art show), but that is definitely in the plan. Happy March!
