Website update!
Hi friends! I'm currently listening to Robyn (she's the best) and working on my website. I realized I hadn't updated for a loooong time and that maybe I could show a little preview of my (hopefully) much anticipated website.

I will be adding some more to my portfolio soon (as soon as I get a few things refined). I know it's hard to tell much from these screen shots, but if you have any feedback (good or bad), I would love to hear your opinions!
Ciao.

Website dilemma
In my very first post I had said I would have my website up and running in April...
Maybe you've guessed, but I've had a little setback and it actually won't be ready this month. In fact, I probably shouldn't give another launch date because I'm just not sure when it will be finished. Oh joy. Sorry for the disappointment (not that anyone reads this blog anyways)!
This is not a late April Fool's joke.

Package Design
Happy late Leap Year!
I'm currently in a 3D Design class, and our last two projects have been package design. This is something completely new for me, and I've found that I really love it! It's teaching me a lot about hierarchy, cohesiveness, and color. Maybe I've found my niche. I guess time will tell!
The purpose of this project was to create a product line of energy bars and drinks. I went in an interesting direction- energy drinks for seniors! As in, 55-65 year olds. It kind of seemed like uncharted territory, and a good challenge.
I went for old-fashioned sounding flavors, illustrations, and style. I did all the illustrations, and let me tell you- what a long process! I'm absolutely thrilled with the results, though.

Logo: a quick look
The last couple of months I've been working on a logo for a contemporary dance company. What a challenge. I've never done a logo based on the human body, and I was really excited/nervous about this! It was definitely a hard journey, but I couldn't be happier about the end result, and the same goes for my client.
The concept is that, in dance, the body is viewed as a whole rather than separate parts. Each part of the body is connected, and they work together to create beautiful movement.

Welcome to my blog!
Hello! Shelley here. I'm sorry this blog has been pretty much non-existent, but school has been taking over my life!
For now this blog will be a vehicle to exhibit my portfolio and post what I think to be great examples of design. Hopefully I'll be able to get some of my work posted very soon.
Starting in April, my portfolio will be showcased on my very own website, which is currently in the works. Get excited folks!
